Apart from that, I can say that the journey took almost 13 hours. As a non-stop, direct flight. They provided you with 2 meals during the trip, and you have the right to eat as many sandwiches as you want between these two meals. I don’t remember what I ate for the first meal, not to lie, but one thing I remember is sushi-style raw fish. Even though it tasted good when I first ate it, I felt nauseous when I finished eating it. If it weren’t for the crackers under the forks and if I couldn’t change the taste of my mouth, that road would be unbearable. I didn’t eat it the next time.

Then, after a long journey, we landed in San Francisco, USA, with the sign “Welcome to America”. This is where the belt would break. Look, this English thing is a very interesting thing, I have never sat down and talked to a foreigner properly in English in my life. I didn’t know whether I knew English or not until the border police spoke to our lovely sister. By the way, I went abroad for the first time in my life and that was to Silicon Valley. I realized that in America, we know English, but we do not practice it at all, and we think that we cannot speak it because we have not had a dialogue with any foreign people. In fact, I realized that if we had to talk, we could easily solve the problem in 1 month.

Our journey to America was really tiring. After project presentations etc., when we returned to the hotel in the evening, I had neither the mood nor the strength left to sit down and do anything. Sometimes even editing a video and uploading it to YouTube could feel like death. During my stay in America, the latest I woke up was 7.30. I woke up at 4.30 at the earliest. And during the day we had no way of going back to bed until 8-9pm. I remember once, after preparing a presentation until 3 a.m., we got up at 7.30 in the morning and toured all day. By the way, we cannot thank Duygu sister, Duygu Öktem, enough. She prepared a really nice program. If you are reading this article, well done sister Duygu. It’s been a fun week 😀

The thing I liked most in America were the traffic rules. Friend, pedestrian priority is a great thing. I passed him and I really liked the way they waited at the red light and their respect for each other. Apart from that, hearing sentences like Good morning, hi, how are you?, have a good day everywhere is another thing. Something like this happened. Furkan and I were taking turns taking photos. A couple who was exercising passed us. Then our sister returned after going 10 meters. Then why shouldn’t he say to us, “Do you want me to take a photo of you together?” saying. You said Sure, thank you. 😀 Apart from that, the streets don’t smell very nice, it made me a little sick. They use very heavy sauces in their dishes and this can reach nauseating levels. By the way, here is a little information for you: if you are going to buy soup, do not buy it thinking about the soup plates we have here! In America, the portions of everything can be almost twice as large as ours.

By the way, everyone we went to explain the project to us spent more time than I expected and really listened with all their attention and gave us feedback.
