The final lesson of the Blogger series covers monetizing your blog with Google AdSense. Since Blogger and AdSense are both Google products, this is the smoothest monetization path on the platform.

AdSense Approval Requirements (2026)
- The blog must be owned by an account holder at least 18 years old.
- Original, decent-quality, non-infringing content.
- Enough posts (usually 15+) and some site age (1-2 months). Google doesn’t publish exact thresholds, but this is the practical floor.
- About, Privacy Policy and Contact pages massively boost approval odds.
Application Steps
- Blogger dashboard → Earnings tab.
- Click Apply for AdSense.
- Sign in with your Google account, fill in country and payment info.
- Google reviews your site in 1 week to 1 month; the result lands by email.
- After approval, enable Auto Ads from the AdSense panel — Google optimizes ad placement for you.
AdSense Realities in 2026
- CPC varies massively by country. Tier-1 markets (US/UK/CA) pay 5-10× tier-3 markets. High-value niches (finance, insurance, health) pay much more than general blogs.
- Mobile is 70%+ of traffic — test ad units on mobile.
- Don’t limit yourself to AdSense: Mediavine, Ezoic, AdThrive offer higher RPM once you hit their traffic thresholds.
- If your niche fits, direct affiliate programs (Amazon, ShareASale) or your own product usually beat both.
- Treat ads as a complement to content, not an enemy of it — bad UX kills retention faster than ads pay.
Critical Warnings
- Never click your own ads. Tell friends/family the same. Google detects this fast and bans permanently.
- No geo-VPN fraud.
- Copyright infringement, adult content, violence, hate speech = permanent ban.
