Yes, I have finished yet another anime. It’s definitely one of those shows where you can confidently say, “These guys really know what they’re doing,” but since there is a second season on the way, I didn’t get to see a proper finale. I mean, it ended, but it didn’t quite meet my expectations. Still, they’ve made a beautiful, gripping anime that completely pumps you up. My favorite part about these types of anime is their incredible ability to motivate the viewer.

I think about the cartoons or regular TV series broadcast in our country—they either end unhappily or completely pointlessly, meaning they don’t offer much value to the audience. But when you watch anime, you truly get the answer to why the Japanese are so incredibly hardworking. They are extremely meticulous about ensuring everything they produce instills themes of success, integrity, a desire for unity, and justice.

Now I understand why the Japanese were so calm and collected when the nuclear plant disaster happened. The movies, series, and anime that shape their lives constantly teach them about hard work, unity, and respect.

In other words, these shows are filled with messages like, “If you want it and work for it, you will achieve it.”

If a child watches this, certain foundational values will definitely click in their mind. Even people my age—and older—watch these shows. It was honestly enough to fire me up in my own field. This anime reminded me of the absolute necessity of hard work. It beautifully illustrates that if you have a dream, a goal, or something you truly believe in, you have to sweat for it. Kudos to the Japanese creators.

To briefly touch upon the anime itself, it features a blue-haired kid. He goes to a new school and starts playing basketball there. Eventually, he enters a championship tournament to face off against his former middle school teammates.

However, each of these former teammates possesses their own unique, overpowered abilities, and they’ve all become incredibly arrogant. The whole plot revolves around our blue-haired protagonist wanting to defeat them one by one to shatter their arrogance and prove the true power of team play.
