I don’t even have the slightest idea how a week passed. And it’s time for my second newsletter to be published. This week I decided to publish the newsletter in the evening. I even intend to try a different watch every Monday. Because there is no study on when people open a newsletter more often. Of course, there is a general logic; It may be around 7 o’clock on Monday morning, when people are going to work. It can be between 9-10am with breakfast when they first arrive at work. Or I would say lunch break, but people use the lunch break mostly for conversation. Or it could be after work. But at those times, it may be difficult to read due to fatigue.

I was listening to a podcast in the morning and it said that the hours when a person is most productive, that is, the hours when his focus is most intense, are between 6-10 and 16-22.

I tried the broadcast at 9 in the morning and 37% of the people opened an e-mail and interacted with it. Of course, this rate does not give the number of all games. Afterwards, there are people coming from other places and the reading rate of this newsletter exceeded the total number of newsletter subscribers, but the data shows the rate of people who opened the e-mail and clicked on a link in the newsletter, even if it was small, and reacted.

Our clock, which was 9 last week, will be 12 hours later this week and this newsletter will be delivered to your mailbox at 21. It’s like we’ll all be part of an experiment together. I have different times in mind in the next two weeks. You can be sure that I will share more detailed data with you at the end of 1 month and 1 week, that is, in my 5th newsletter.

Now, what I can tell you this week is;

For Content Creators;

1. Youtube started to instantly show on the player which parts of the videos are more prominent and which parts are skipped quickly.
2. It creates in-app chat rooms on Reddit and has launched the “Reddit Talk Host Program” to encourage this. He says that within the scope of this program, he will open at least 4 programs every month for 4 months and introduce the rooms he chooses among the people who speak to all Reddit users. We can call it features like Clubhouse and Twitter’s chat rooms.
3. Instagram has updated many of its elements again. This includes the font and logo it uses.
4. Instagram is working on a feature to react to Reels videos. In fact, Instagram has started working to add the same feature we see in TikTok to the application.
5. After many years, Instagram brings the “repost” feature into the application.
6. TikTok brings the paid subscription feature after Instagram and Youtube.
7. Instagram will allow you to hide your follower count. But while doing this, there was no explanation for the psychological factor behind it. I recommend you to brainstorm immediately regarding such news. They generally tend to make such decisions as a result of data. For such large companies, a new path forward is determined by data, so there is no random step taken.
