Road Is Clear! Hit the Road! — Yalova Erikli Plateau Camp

A new path, a new adventure. Campers are on the camping road again. There may be people who remember our last camp. In those who do not havefrom this linkLet them take a look. Our destination this time was Yalova. We set out towards Yalova’s Erikli Plateau. We set off on our journey on Saturday morning, around 6 o’clock. We went to Yenikapı by metro and then to Yalova by İDO. We were planning to go from Yalova to Çınarcık by minibus and walk from there to Erikli Plateau, but the road was longer than we expected. While we were on the road, our journey was relieved so much when Enes raised his finger and one of the cars stopped. On top of that, they ordered 3 cups of tea somewhere upstairs. We sat and talked like this, it was pretty nice. And I hitchhiked for the first time in my life.

When we arrived at the plateau, our first job was to set up tents. Then I immediately upgraded to capri. Afterwards, when the dark side of the night began to show itself and the feeling of hunger began to appear, we started to light my fire. After taking care of our fire, we cooked our sausages and ate one tuna each. We bought bananas and chocolate from the market. We had the chance to try a recipe that Enes saw on the internet. Without removing the banana from its peel, we created two slits in the middle and stuck squares of chocolate into this section. It really turned out to be something very delicious and sweet. Later in the night, we turned on music and started talking. As a result of the sleepiness of waking up early, we took our places in our tents and slept well. Meanwhile, wolf howls were coming from the mountain, but it was no problem. I slept soundly all night. It was a perfect sleep. And we woke up on the morning of the second day when I saw that our people were still sleeping. I was up at 6.36 in the morning and started looking for something to do. I prepared yesterday

While I could make a single sausage with a sausage stick, this time I had the trouble of making a stick that I could eat double sausages with. First I found a thick tree branch. Of course, this tree branch had already broken and fallen to the ground. I wouldn’t go and touch the tree 🙂 The new knives we bought were really useful. Frankly, I didn’t think they would be this sharp and useful. After cleaning the stick well, cut the top part into two sausages. You know Ali’s sword, I split it in two like that. After completing these procedures, I noticed that our family was still sleeping, so I hit the road and collected dried pine needles so that I could light the fire more easily. Of course, I also collected pine cones to increase their burnability rate. After completing all these, it was time to collect thin wood, kindling style, and lastly, it was necessary to find wood that would blend the fire and turn into coal. There was a lot of fresh wood around and most of it was wet because of the humidity at night. Frankly, it was a little difficult to find dry wood. And while I was sorting out the wood issue, Eno woke up too. We started to light the fire to prepare our breakfast. When the fire caught fire, we first re-fried our hot dogs and started eating them. When we finished this, we bought two cans of tuna and ate one more per person. Finally, there are boxed popcorns that are sold in glasses. We put our corn on the edge of the embers.

We placed them and waited for them to warm up. When we finished all our work, it was time to drink water, but unfortunately we had no water left and we had to fill it with water coming from the mountain across the river. Thank you, we went and took off our shoes and put my feet in the water. My mother, how cold she is. No such cold. I had a water bottle in my hand and when I filled it with water, it did justice to the words written on the bottle: water from the natural mountain. When we returned, Yasin had also woken up. While he was eating his meal and we continued to chat, it was time to go. Before leaving, we packed up our tents and collected our garbage. We completely extinguished our fire. Friends, these are important details, keep in mind that if everyone left their garbage, these camping areas would become garbage dumps. Be afraid to even throw a bottle cap on the ground. Keep in mind that plastic does not disappear in nature and harms nature. After collecting everything, we hit the road again with our heavy bags. These roads did not seem to end. And again, a friend of ours who had returned from camping like us took us into his car. Three engineers and a medical doctor in the car brought us to the entrance of Çınarcık. From there, we went to Çınarcık center by minibus and started waiting for our sea bus. And we returned to Istanbul, the center of concrete, through that beautiful greenery. There was no phone reception where we went, the environment was green and all. The mind was so relaxed. 2 quiet days. It was really beautiful. If you have the opportunity, take a weekend and hit the road because your path is open. Now I leave you with our video.
